Responsible Gambling at Bizzo Casino — Australia

Gambling should be entertainment. When it stops being fun — when you are betting more than you can afford, hiding it from people you care about, chasing losses, or feeling anxious about your play — it has stopped being a game and started being a problem. This page explains how to recognise the warning signs, how to use the responsible-gambling tools built into Bizzo Casino, and where to get free, confidential help in Australia, 24 hours a day.

If you are reading this page right now because you are worried about yourself or someone close to you, the most important number on this page is at the top of section 6: Gambling Help Online — 1800 858 858, free, 24/7, anywhere in Australia.

1. Bizzo's commitment

Bizzo Casino is a member of the iGaming community and supports responsible play in line with industry best practice. We have built tools into the platform that let you take control of your play, and we train our support staff to recognise when a player may be in difficulty and to offer help proactively.

We do not — and never will — encourage you to gamble more than you can afford. We do not:

  • Send marketing emails to self-excluded players
  • Offer "win-back" bonuses to players who have closed accounts for gambling-harm reasons
  • Allow accounts that have been self-excluded to re-open before the cool-off period ends
  • Process credit-card deposits that we believe are funded by debt

2. Recognising the warning signs

Problem gambling is a recognised behavioural disorder. Common warning signs include:

  • Spending more time or money on gambling than you intended
  • Chasing losses — betting more to try to win back what you have lost
  • Hiding the time or money you spend on gambling from family or friends
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to gamble
  • Missing work, study or commitments because of gambling
  • Feeling anxious, depressed or irritable when you are not gambling, or after a session
  • Lying about how much you have won or lost
  • Thinking about gambling most of the time

If two or more of these resonate, please use the tools in section 4, and consider reaching out to one of the support services in section 6. There is no shame in asking — gambling harm affects an estimated 1.1% of Australian adults (Productivity Commission), with a further 4.7% experiencing some negative impact.

3. Setting limits before you start

Before you make a deposit, decide:

  1. Time: how long will you play in one session? (For example, "no more than 90 minutes.")
  2. Money: how much can you afford to lose this week without affecting bills, rent, or family obligations? Treat this as the cost of entertainment, not as an investment.
  3. Stop signal: at what point do you walk away — both at a loss (for example, "if I'm down AU$200 I stop") and at a win (for example, "if I'm up AU$300 I cash out half")?

Set these limits in the Bizzo platform itself, before you start playing, so that the casino enforces them for you. Your future self will thank your present self for tying the rope to the mast.

4. Bizzo's responsible-gambling tools

All tools below are accessible from My Account → Responsible Gambling.

Deposit limits

Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on how much money you can deposit. Once set:

  • A decrease takes effect immediately.
  • An increase or removal is subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period, then a confirmation step. There is no "I changed my mind, override now" button — this is deliberate.
Limit typeRangeEffect
DailyAU$10–AU$10,000Resets at midnight AEDT
WeeklyAU$10–AU$25,000Resets Monday 00:00 AEDT
MonthlyAU$10–AU$50,000Resets 1st of month 00:00 AEDT

Loss limits

Cap your net losses (deposits minus withdrawals) over a period. Once you reach the limit, the casino prevents further bets until the period resets.

Wager limits

Cap the maximum stake per bet. Useful for avoiding tilt-style bet escalation.

Session-time reminders

Receive an in-game pop-up every 15 / 30 / 60 minutes showing how long you have been logged in, your net result for the session, and a one-click "Take a break" button.

Reality check

Daily summary email of yesterday's deposits, wagers, wins and losses. Toggle on in My Account → Settings.

Time-out (short cool-off)

Lock yourself out of the account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days. During the time-out:

  • You cannot log in
  • You cannot deposit
  • You will not receive marketing emails
  • Existing pending withdrawals continue to process

A time-out cannot be lifted early under any circumstances.

Self-exclusion (long-term)

Lock yourself out of the account for 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, or permanently. During self-exclusion:

  • You cannot log in or open a new account
  • You will not receive any marketing communication
  • Any new account detected (by name, email, IP, payment method, or device fingerprint) is closed automatically and the balance returned to the deposit method
  • Any winnings on a re-opened "duplicate" account during self-exclusion are forfeited

Self-exclusion is the strongest tool. It is not a punishment — it is a safety net. Many players who later return to healthy play describe self-exclusion as the single most important step they took.

5. Tools outside Bizzo

Even with Bizzo's own tools, the most reliable barrier is the one between you and all gambling sites at once.

  • BetStop — National Self-Exclusion Register (Australia): a free, federal scheme that blocks you from every licensed Australian online gambling provider. Sign up at betstop.gov.au. While Bizzo as an offshore operator is not bound by BetStop, registering closes off the largest channel of gambling to you and is a strong supporting step.
  • Bank-level gambling block: every major Australian bank (CBA, ANZ, Westpac, NAB, ING, Macquarie, Up, Bendigo) now offers a one-tap "block all gambling transactions" toggle inside its mobile app. This is one of the single most effective tools available because it cuts off funding at the source.
  • Browser blockers: Gamban (gamban.com) and BetBlocker (betblocker.org) install on your devices and block thousands of gambling sites. BetBlocker is free.
  • Family member as account contact: ask Bizzo support to mark a trusted family member as a notification contact for any limit increases — this provides an extra check.

7. Protecting minors

Online gambling is for adults aged 18 and over only. If a minor lives in your household:

  • Do not share your account credentials or saved passwords.
  • Consider a separate user account on shared devices.
  • Use parental-control software such as NetNanny, Qustodio, Microsoft Family Safety or Apple Screen Time.
  • If you discover a minor has accessed your account, contact Bizzo support immediately so we can investigate and apply additional controls.

8. Helping someone else

If you are worried about a partner, family member or friend:

  • Don't lecture. Express concern about the impact, not about the behaviour itself.
  • Don't bail them out of debts repeatedly — it removes the natural consequence and can prolong the cycle.
  • Encourage them to ring Gambling Help Online (1800 858 858) — going with them to that first call can be transformative.
  • Look after yourself. Family Drug & Gambling Helpline (1300 660 068) and Relationships Australia (1300 364 277) both offer support for family members, not just the person gambling.

9. Bizzo's affordability checks

In line with industry best practice, Bizzo applies affordability triggers at certain thresholds (most commonly, cumulative deposits over AU$2,000 in 30 days, or sharp escalation in deposit frequency). When triggered, Bizzo may:

  • Send a friendly check-in via live chat
  • Pause the account pending a short questionnaire about source of funds and affordability
  • Reduce default deposit limits

These checks may feel inconvenient. They exist because they save lives.

10. The bottom line

If gambling is fun for you, set sensible limits, take regular breaks, and enjoy it.

If it is not fun any more — or if you are not sure — please use the time-out feature today, and call 1800 858 858. The conversation is free, anonymous, and the person on the other end of the line will not judge you. Thousands of Australians make the same call every year, and most go on to a healthier, happier relationship with gambling, or with a life that no longer includes it.

You don't have to wait until things get worse.
